We’re making this kebab shop style garlic sauce with added tahini, for an extra hit of flavour!

This punchy garlic sauce takes no time at all to make & you’ll only need 5 ingredients. This stuff’s great served on homemade kebabs, with fries, on salads or with pitta chips! It’s seriously tasty…

What You’ll Need

  • Greek Yoghurt – Make sure to use Greek yoghurt, for the best flavour, texture & consistency.
  • Tahini – This is a sesame seed paste & is available to buy in most supermarkets. This gives this sauce a subtle nutty flavour that works great with the garlic.
  • Garlic – I find that 4 garlic cloves gives this sauce a strong enough flavour but feel free to add in more though, if you’d prefer.
  • Lemon Juice – Adding lemon juice, cuts through the flavours from the garlic, tahini & yoghurt. We’re using 1½ tablespoons of juice, which is roughly half a lemon.
  • Olive Oil – We’re mixing a small amount of olive oil into the sauce, for extra flavour!
  • Cold Water – If you’re sauce seems too thick, mixing in a splash of cold water will bring it the correct consistency. It should be thin enough to drizzle!

How To Make Tahini Garlic Sauce

Making this sauce couldn’t be easier! Simply add Greek yoghurt into a bowl with grated garlic, tahini, lemon juice, olive oil, salt & pepper then whisk to combine. If the sauce is a little thick, thin it out with a splash of cold water.

This garlic sauce can be served straight away but it’s best to let it sit in the fridge for an hour or two, to let the flavours develop.
