Dulce De Leche Espresso Milkshake
The ultimate milkshake. Rich & creamy dulce de leche icecream, blitzed up with milk, extra caramel & a double shot of espresso.

This is an insanely good drink! A cross between an iced coffee and a milkshake makes this great for summer. Don’t like coffee? Feel free to make it without.
Dulce De Leche.

For this milkshake, we are using straight up dulce de leche and a homemade ice cream. The beauty of this recipe is that you can use any ice cream. If you do want to make your own, my dulce de leche ice cream recipe can be found on my Substack.
The Coffee.
For this recipe, we are using freshly pulled shots of espresso. This can be made with an espresso machine, a cafetiere or a nespresso machine. However you make it, give it a couple of minutes to cool down before adding to the milkshake.
You could also use a coffee essence instead. I’d recommend adding a small amount at a time until you get the desired coffee flavour.
Making The Milkshake.
To blitz the ingredients into a smooth milkshake, you will need some sort of jug blender. A good thirty second blitz tends to do the job.

Dulce De Leche Espresso Milkshake
Equipment
- Jug Blender
- Coffee Machine
- Ice Cream Scoop
Ingredients
- 360 ml Whole Milk
- 4 Scoops Dulce De Leche Ice Cream
- 4 tsp Dulce De Leche
- 2 Double Shots Espresso
Instructions
- Start by making the espresso then set aside to cool slightly as you prepare the remaining ingredients.
- Next, place the ice cream, dulce de leche & milk into a jug blender.Add in the espresso then blitz the milkshake until smooth.
- Pour into a glass & serve immediately.
