How To Compress Watermelon
Use a vacuum sealer to take an ordinary watermelon to another level with this simple technique.

Start by cutting the rind off the melon then cut the flesh into chunks roughly 1 cm thick.
Place the melon chunks into vacuum bags, making sure not to overfill each bag.
Vacuum seal each bag of melon. You’ll see the melon turn a vibrant red colour.
Use straight away or leave in bags until needed.
To make compressed melon, you’ll need a vacuum sealer. These can be picked up fairly cheaply online.
This technique can be used for most other fruits & some vegetables. Pineapple & cucumber work well.
